Payment Plans

This quick video shows how residents split a balance into scheduled payments and enroll in a payment plan without calling staff.

How do residents set up a payment plan online?

What it does: Agency-configured payment plans let residents split a balance into scheduled installments and enroll without staff help.

What residents can do: Residents find the balance they want to pay over time and select “Enroll in Payment Plan.” Plan options reflect your agency’s rules, your team sets the number of installments and the schedule. Residents choose a plan, pick a payment method (card or bank account), and confirm. Those with a PayIt Government Profile can use saved payment info to finish faster. After enrolling, residents receive a full plan summary showing each upcoming payment date and amount.

Agencies see every enrollment automatically. No manual entry, no follow-up calls.

Setting up a payment plan with PayIt takes residents just a few minutes — no phone calls, no paperwork.

From their account, residents locate the balance they’d like to pay over time and select “Enroll in Payment Plan.” The available plan options are configured by your agency — whether that’s 3 installments, 6, or another structure that fits your policy. Residents choose the plan that works for their situation, with the payment schedule displayed clearly before they commit.

From there, residents can select their preferred payment method: a debit or credit card, or a bank account. If they already have a PayIt Government Profile, their saved account information is already there — so finishing the process is even faster.

Once they confirm, residents receive a summary of their plan — including each upcoming payment date and amount. They can manage or view their plan at any time from their account.

For your agency, every step is tracked automatically. No manual entry, no follow-up calls to confirm enrollment.
