PayIt Adds Jerod Sands, Adam Christensen, and James Ward to Executive Leadership Team
Leadership team expansion reflects PayIt’s continued growth in the $500B+ digital government market
Kansas City, Missouri,April 5, 2023 – PayIt, the leading SaaS provider of digital customer engagement and payments software for government, today announced the addition of Jerod Sands as Chief Financial Officer, Adam Christensen as Senior Vice President, Product, and James Ward as Senior Vice President, Public Sector. Sands, Christensen, and Ward collectively bring over five decades of leadership experience spanning payments and government technology.
These appointments will drive PayIt’s continued growth into the expanding government IT market, which is forecasted to total $588.9 billion in 2023, an increase of 6.8% from 2022, according to Gartner.

In his role, Sands will bring his 20 years of experience in finance and executive leadership to guide the financial strategy and operations of PayIt. Most recently, Sands was the Chief Financial Officer of BillGO and previously held leadership positions at companies including ACI Worldwide, First National Bank of Omaha, and KPMG.

Christensen joins PayIt with 20 years of executive product roles in payments and FinTech, and will lead the product and design functions for the company. Most recently, Christensen led core platform and risk products for Marqeta, and previously held leadership roles at BankSight, PayPal, Wells Fargo, and Siebel Systems.

Ward comes to PayIt with over 15 years of experience in public sector sales. In his role, he will lead sales and business development for PayIt. Previously, Ward has held leadership positions at organizations including Talkdesk, Genesys, and Avectra (now Abila).
