PayIt welcomes Jeff Craver as Chief Government Relations Officer

Kansas City, MO–PayIt, an award-winning provider for digital government, today announced the hiring of Jeff Craver to be the company’s first Chief Government Relations Officer. Craver has spent nearly 20 years as an influential voice in state and international government relations.

As Chief Government Relations Officer, Craver will be responsible for building and fostering partnerships with international, state and local governments, empowering their leaders to drive meaningful change and deliver better digital services to citizens.

“I cannot think of anyone better to lead this charge,” said PayIt founder and CEO John Thomson. “Jeff has a track record of cultivating these types of relationships in government. He is a trusted partner and advisor, and we are excited to build on our commitment to providing an industry-leading government experience for constituents together.”

Before joining PayIt, Craver was a Principal at Advantage Capital, an impact investment firm.  His work at Advantage focused on building partnerships and enacting public policy campaigns to enhance access to capital for entrepreneurs in the states and abroad. Prior to joining Advantage Capital in 2006, Jeff was tax counsel for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he championed several business-focused policy initiatives to improve the business climate and create jobs. He previously served as counsel to the Missouri Senate for tax, fiscal policy and economic development. In addition, he has worked as a corporate attorney in private practice.

“PayIt’s continual growth and rapid expansion is ever increasing the ways we can improve the constituent experience with government on all levels,” Craver said. “I’m grateful to be part of such a creative and passionate team. And I’m eager to partner with public sector officials as we all face new challenges in 2021 and embrace the opportunities they bring.”

PayIt’s platform enables people to easily access government services from any device. Whether it’s paying property taxes, vehicle registration renewals or court citations, interacting with the agencies has never been easier for constituents.
