PayIt founder and CEO recognized for StateScoop 50 award, along with other PayIt partners

It’s award season in the government technology sector. It may not be as glamorous as the Oscars, but it is an important moment for everyone involved. It gives government agencies a chance to showcase their IT innovations and recognize the individuals who have dedicated countless hours to making these visions a reality.

The StateScoop 50 Awards is one of the biggest. According to their official release: presented for its seventh year, the StateScoop 50 awards honor the projects and people driving state government technology and cybersecurity.

PayIt founder and CEO John Thomson was recognized for the Industry Leadership of the Year award. His continued efforts to help improve access to government services for citizens has resulted in this tremendous achievement. PayIt is able to digitize hundreds of government use cases, making interacting with government offices easier and safer for constituents.

“What an honor to win this Industry Leadership of the Year award. This is a result of our team tirelessly working to deliver innovative technology for our clients to better serve their citizens. I truly am lucky to have such an incredible team of people here at PayIt,” said John.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s digital DMV solution, myNCDMV, was also recognized as a State IT Innovation of the Year. Built in partnership with PayIt, this innovative approach to the DMV allows citizens to renew their vehicle registrations, renew their driver licenses, order specialty license plates and even register to vote all from their website or myNCDMV app. In addition, several other of PayIt’s partners were recognized for their efforts.

John finished, “Seeing our government partners being recognized for all of their hard work is equally as rewarding. Again, we’re all in this together. I am so proud of each and everyone one of them.”

Congratulations to all of the winners
