PayIt included in Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers 2021 list
Kansas City, Missouri—March 9, 2021—PayIt, an award-winning SaaS provider of digital government services and payments, announced today their inclusion in the Forbes list of America’s Best Startup Employers 2021. PayIt came in at 302 on the list of the top 500 startup employers in the United States presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. PayIt was one of three companies included from Missouri, with Kansas City-based Mylo placing 28th and Columbia-based EquipmentShare placing 309th.
This prestigious honor comes on the heels of PayIt’s continued growth and industry recognition. The company recently invested in an expanded leadership team, was named a GovTech 100 company for its fifth year in a row and had their founder and CEO John Thomson named winner of Entrepreneur Of The Year 2020 Heartland Award.
“This is such a great honor and really reaffirms that you can build an outstanding product and company anywhere in the U.S. The Heartland has so much to offer and a lot of really incredible companies are sprouting up right here in Kansas City,” said John Thomson, founder and CEO of PayIt. “I’d like to give a huge thanks to every one at PayIt for making this a truly special place to be… and I hope we’re even higher next year,” Thomson chuckled.
According to the official release, Statista identified 2,500 American businesses that had been founded between 2011 and 2018 and employ at least 50 people. Statista then used the following criteria to determine their list:
- Employee reputation
- Employee satisfaction
- Company growth
The final list ranks the 500 employers that boast the best employer reputations, employee satisfaction and growth—factoring in over seven million total data points.
