OneAlabama recognized for StateScoop 50 award

PayIt is proud to announce The Alabama Department of Human Resource’s (DHR) online experience, OneAlabama, was awarded the StateScoop 50 award for IT Innovation of the Year.

Built in partnership with PayIt, OneAlabama provides Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). Citizens of Alabama can submit Family Assistance (FA) applications, report changes for their employment and training program (JOBS), as well as upload supporting documentation from any device allowing the convenience and privacy they deserve.

Since the April 2021 launch, OneAlabama has seen steady increases in usage each month, with December 2020 and January 2021 seeing 59% of all TANF applications coming through the online experience.

According to Jake Williams, Vice President for content at StateScoop, “This year’s StateScoop 50 Awards honor the people and projects responsible for getting residents through one of the most challenging times and putting a spotlight on how those efforts set up an expansive future for digital government.”
