Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and PayIt Add Specialty Permit Management to Electronic Licensing System

Kansas City, Missouri, December 9, 2025PayIt, the leader in digital customer experience solutions with integrated payments for state, local, and provincial governments, is pleased to announce the addition of specialty permit management to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s electronic licensing system.

AGFC has launched 12 new specialty permit applications, covering everything from commercial trout stocking to scientific collection for wildlife research. These permits empower Arkansans to responsibly engage in their activities while helping the state monitor and maintain healthy fish and wildlife populations.

Now, specialty permit applications can be submitted, reviewed, and approved all through the same platform used for licensing, regular permitting, and event coordination, recruitment, and registration — any time and from anywhere. The new feature is designed to be easy for customers and agency staff to use, enabling them to track every step from application to approval to payment. This expansion replaces a manual, paper-based process, offering greater convenience to customers and allowing AGFC to reallocate time and resources to higher conservation priorities.

“Bringing specialty permits into our online system is just the latest step of our ongoing effort to modernize how we serve our customers, and continues to expand the value of our electronic licensing system,” said Eric Brinkman, Assistant Chief of Fisheries at AGFC. “Not only does it make it easier for customers to apply for, track and receive their specialty permits, but it also makes our agency processes more efficient.”

“We are proud to continue growing our partnership with AGFC, delivering services and features that support agency staff, their customers, and their conservation mission,” said Chris Willard, general manager, Outdoors at PayIt. “Together, we are dedicated to delivering a modern system that leverages all the benefits of cloud software, including quick feature and service launches, ongoing system improvements, and overall ease-of-use.”

AGFC’s system is available online or via mobile app, which enables customers to take the platform into the field, and on the water — streamlining activities like submitting game checks, even when cellular activity is limited. Licensing agents and AGFC staff also benefit from a more intuitive system, designed to simplify the process of serving customers even further.

Since launching its online licensing system with PayIt Outdoors in 2017, AGFC has served more than 2 million customers and processed over $376 million in revenue.
