According to an Identity Theft Resource Center (IRTC) report, over 14 million credit card numbers are exposed annually. Year after year, credit card fraud is the most common form of identity theft.

At PayIt, security is mission critical to us. Our goal is to minimize the risk of our users by implementing industry-leading security measures. We tokenize all of our payment data, which is one of the safest ways available to make digital payments.

Our digital wallet doesn’t actually store the user’s credit card number, security code or expiration date. Simply put, all credit card information is replaced by a unique, random series of numbers, or a token. This means the physical credit card number, security code and expiration date are never stored directly on our servers, but the tokenized payment method is always available to use.

If this token were to be accessed by anyone other than the resident, they would never be able to find the original credit card number, security code or expiration date. Essentially, we’re creating a fingerprint of the payment data that can only be used through our solution for its services. Again, when we say secure, we mean it.

Our digital wallet is creating one seamless government experience for residents, built on three key pillars.
